FAQs: KST based-Chiropractic Care

What is a KST based chiropractic adjustment?
With KST based chiropractic care, an “adjustment” is when your doctor of chiropractic corrects or reduces the “subluxations” of the spine and/or in the body. There is a misconception that a chiropractor forces the bone into its "proper" alignment. Only an individual's own innate Intelligence knows for sure what the proper place for each bone is. The role of the chiropractor is to free up the joint/bone/organ/structure/vertebrae. Then, the body can do its job and put them back in the correct position and allow for healing to occur.

What will happen during my first visit to Harper’s Ridge for chiropractic care?
During your initial visit, you will undergo a basic exam, and Dr. Harper will consult with you about your medical history, current conditions & symptoms, any injuries and other events that may have caused trauma to your body. Dr. Harper will use KST based-chiropractic care and the ArthroStim to adjust the energetic flow or subluxation in your spine and your entire body, if required.

Is it normal to have soreness or pain after a chiropractic adjustment?
Your KST based-chiropractic adjustment itself should not be painful; however, some have reported a worsening of symptoms before they get better. This may be attributed to a healing phenomenon called Retracing. Always feel free to contact us if you are concerned.

How long does it typically take after starting to receive chiropractic treatment to start feeling improvements in my symptoms/pains/overall health?
Each person and condition is different. Many people feel better after 1-2 treatments; however, others may need multiple sessions depending on how long an injury or issue has been present in the body.

Where is the location you offer chiropractic for people and what coverage does my insurance offer?
Harper’s Ridge Chiropractic does not accept insurance at this time. We are more than happy to supply you with a superbill so that you can then submit the charges to your insurance company for reimbursement. Ask Mary at 303.518.3688 ext 2 for details.
